What is Zumba Toning?
Zumba toning is a style of fitness training based on Latino-inspired dance. Its aim is to burn calories and tone the body's muscles.
What do I need to bring to Zumba Toning? If it's your first time to Zumba Toning, and you just want to try it out first, I have several pairs of 1 lb. toning sticks available that you can borrow your first or second time.
What about Zumba Toning Sticks? Two different sets are available. 1 lb. toning sticks are $19.95, and 2.5 lb. toning sticks are $24.95. I suggest that you take class with a 1lb. weight first. Once you have acquired good form and are sure you need more of a challenge, then you may want to switch to the 2.5 lb. sticks.
What is the difference between Zumba Fitness and Zumba Toning? Zumba Fitness is mostly a cardiovascular class with some toning, but Zumba Toning is a muscular endurance plus cardiovascular class which can blast many more calories and challenge your body in new ways. The Zumba Toning party is different than that of regular Zumba Fitness classes, but you will definitely feel the burn!
Worried about "bulking up?
You won't bulk up in Zumba Toning.
What if I don't have any weight-lifting experience? During the Toning class format, I will give you easy-to-understand cues to improve and perfect your form, giving you the best possible workout. I will guide you verbally to correct form. I will give the cue to the entire class when I see that correction is needed.
How much does Zumba Toning cost? Zumba Toning is a specialty class, so it does cost a little more than regular Zumba. A single class is $6.00, or you can purchase a Five Class punch card for $25.00. A Ten Class punch card is also available for $45.00. Please keep in mind that I do run monthly specials for all of my Zumba classes and I have special promotions, where you can Earn Free Classes.
Why does Zumba Toning cost a little more than Zumba Fitness? Zumba Toning is a specialty class, which requires more personal attention to each student. Also, instructor preparation in terms of training and preparation for class is increased.
What areas are worked on in Zumba Toning? In Zumba Toning, we focus a lot on the upper body: the chest, shoulders, back, and arms. We also work the abdominals, obliques, hips, thighs, and glutes!
